All About the Details
It can be tiring planning a wedding in the time of an international pandemic. As a recent bride myself, I often felt discouraged and focused on the large details because those were the ones most effected by COVID. During my own planning, I discovered the peace that can come when planning the smaller details. This is the same advice I give to brides now - enjoy the details that make up your wedding day.
You have earned the right to relax and be pampered by getting your hair and makeup styled by a professional. When the hairspray is in and the lip color has set, you can move on to adding your accessories. A romantic lace vale and stand-out earrings are a perfect addition for a more traditional bride. For a unique bride, you could pass on the vale and instead add a statement hair piece with matching earrings.
Once you’ve finished being pampered, take a sip of something bubbly then slip into your dream dress. This classic, off the shoulder gown has the perfect amount of lace detailing in the train and the side cut-outs. A thin beaded belt is the perfect addition to add an extra touch of glam to this form-fitting dress.
Don’t forget the final bridal accessory: your bouquet. Leading up to your wedding you’ve probably tried on your dress before and you may have had a hair and makeup trial but the one piece you have not had a chance to experience yet is your bouquet. It’s the detail that helps to ground you in the moment; that moment when you’re walking towards the love of your life. Not to mention that holding a bouquet gives you something to do with your hands!
No matter when your special day will be or how your celebration may look, you can be confident with all your small details you’ve chosen and feel beautiful on your wedding day. Congratulations and happy planning!
